Legal Basis for Cooperative Conservation

bulletExecutive Order 13352 Facilitation of Cooperative Conservation (PDF 2 pages)

One of the issues identified at the White House Conference on Cooperative Conservation was the need for information resources pertaining to statutes and regulations that are relevant to cross-boundary and multi-jurisdictional conservation endeavors. The University of Montana report “The Legal Framework for Cooperative Conservation (PDF 24 pages)” covers broadly applicable Federal Statutes. The organization-specific resource guides (listed below) include statutory and programmatic authorities that are unique to individual missions, responsibilities and lines of authorities in Federal cooperative conservation bureaus, services and agencies. These documents have proven to be valuable resources for both Federal and non-Federal individuals and entities engaged in cooperative conservation projects.
