AmeriCorps is a network of local, State, and national service programs that connects more than 70,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet our country's critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.

Earth Team Volunteers is the volunteer arm of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service expanding conservation work across America with volunteer time, talent, and energy. Volunteers serve a vital role in protecting and conserving soil, water, and other natural resources on America's private lands.

EPA’s Volunteer Monitoring Program enables citizens to learn about their water resources. Volunteer monitors build awareness of pollution problems, become trained in pollution prevention, help clean up problem sites, provide data for waters that may otherwise be unassessed, and increase the water quality information available to decision makers at all levels of government.

Take Pride in America is an initiative being implemented across the country, states and communities in ways that best suit local needs and interests, but the message is the same – we have a duty to care for the public lands we use and enjoy. Each of us can find a way to take pride in America by lending a hand.

USA Freedom Corps is charged with building a culture of service, citizenship, and responsibility in America. USAFC promotes and expands volunteer service in America by partnering with national service programs, working to strengthen the non-profit sector, recognizing volunteers, and helping to connect individuals with volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer.gov/gov is an interagency Web site of national volunteer opportunities that help build America's communities of service. This database provides you with a listing of potential volunteer opportunities nationwide. Partners include the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Defense, and Interior.
